The location of Hi exceeded my expectations, perfectly situated for visiting the historic landmarks I had eagerly anticipated. The complimentary WiFi throughout the property was a delightful surprise, and the coffee bar and vending machines offered convenient refreshments to fuel my adventures.

The hostel was in a fantastic location, just a 10-minute walk from the main transport station. The free WiFi service was reliable, which was perfect for my needs as a solo traveler. The atmosphere within the hostel was vibrant, and there were plenty of activities to enjoy.

the place was so clean and close to everywhere i wanted to go. got to meet cool travelers in the social activities. they had a huge kitchen and comfy beds with a cool cubby hole for your tech.

we stayed 3 nights at the hi boston hostel. the room was great – it had bunk beds with a lower twin bed, and upper single bunk. the room also had a desk, and a great shower. when we first arrived at 3:30 pm, our room wasn’t ready. . the fellow at the counter told us the room should be ready by about 4 pm…. at 4 pm, i checked again at the counter and the person called housekeeping and said it still wasn’t ready but offered luggage storage and so we took that, left our bags and went out for a walk to the common…. we came back after dinner and checked in no problem. the hostel offers continental breakfast – coffee, juices, cereal , bagels, bread/toast. the hostel was clean, and had lots of facilities and sitting areas. staff were very nice. location is great, only a couple blocks to the common, and we walked to the hostel from the amtrac south station. close to most sites and to the subway. wifi was somewhat spotty, and bit slower than we’d normally expect. we’d stay at the hostel again if in.

I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability and cleanliness of this hostel. It exceeded my expectations for a business trip as an older guest. The free activities, including billiard tables and board games, kept me entertained during my downtime. The shared kitchen, laundry facilities, and locker room were convenient amenities. The hostel's location in Boston's Chinatown made it easy to explore the city's top tourist spots, and the nearby subway station was a major plus for accessibility.
Having to make my own bed in a dimly lit room, especially on the top bunk. It was a bit inconvenient and noisy, but it didn't significantly affect my overall experience.

Great communal areas, friendly staff, convenient laundry room, prime downtown location, frequent events and activities.
Felt so much at home, no complaints at all.
